NORCAL Season Begins/Team Placements
The NORCAL Placement Committee appointed by the Board of Directors in accordance with NORCAL Rule 9.0 is John Hamer (Chair), Matt Adams, John Beaulieu, Larry Cahn, and Chris Hathaway. Additionally, the committee invited Tyler Shaffar to participate in the meetings and vote as a member. William Stone was ex officio a member of the committee. The committee met via conference call three times and carried on extensive communications during the pre-season. The pre-season game schedules were adjusted in response to requests by committee members to evaluate teams against specific competition to aid in their final placement.

Criteria for placement were initial team declarations made by club presidents, ongoing input from club presidents and team coaches, results of pre-season games.
The format for various division size will be as follows: a division with 6 teams will play 15 games that count toward standings; a division with 7 teams will play 18 games that count toward standings; at division with 8 teams will play 14 games that count toward standings; a division with 9 teams will play 16 games that count toward standings; a division with 10 teams will play 18 games that count toward standings.
